Committee co-chairman Suranjit Sengupta told reporters on Monday they had invited over 20 distinguished people and about 20 editors of national dailies for the meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"Editors of the electronic media were not invited as we could not finalise their names," he said.

"We don't have any plan to call them now," he added.

The government in July last year formed the special committee to review the constitution.

The committee held a series of meetings with lawyers, constitution experts and political parties for getting their opinions on Apr 24-25 and 27.

However, opposition BNP did not turn up at the meeting while Jamaat-e-Islami was not invited.
